In this painting, I wanted to capture the moments in the Garden of Gethsemane, just before the arrest. Jesus is alone in the dark of night, with the moon softly shining down on Him. He’s deep in prayer, feeling the weight of what’s to come, and His human side is heavy with distress. The way His left hand rests suggests a quiet surrender to the Father’s will.
