About Painting
In this painting, I’ve blended two contrasting elements: the innocence and tranquility of childhood with the harsh realities of the future.
Jesus is depicted gently resting on a set of colorful blankets, representing the playfulness and imagination of children. In stark contrast, a crown of thorns rests nearby, symbolizing the suffering and death he will endure—a disturbing element amidst the innocence.
This piece aims to capture the striking contrast of Jesus’ existence: maintaining his innate purity and kindness in the face of unjust condemnation and crucifixion.
