About Painting
The painting depicts Jesus after enduring the brutal scourging. His head is bowed low under the weight of his suffering. Soldiers placed a crown of thorns on his head, a sceptre – a symbol of mockery – in his hand, and a flowing robe on his shoulders witch I rendered in soft hues of purple, pink, and magenta.
From behind Jesus, a soft light glows in a vibrant green. The light spills across the canvas, bathing the scene in a luminous aura. The interplay of colors—vivid greens with the soft, warm tones of the robe—creates a striking, glowy, and emotionally charged atmosphere.
