In the Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen I found myself reading about Gerda’s journey as she searches for her lost friend, Kai.
“Roses Bloom and fade away,
The Christ-Child shall abide alway”.
That line repeats throughout the story multiple times.
Here is Gerda, holding a small flame, walking through the darkness. The tame crow guides her way, but it is her light that leads her home to Kai.
